Good for beginners.
It’s a subtle tobacco. The notes and taste really only get better with age. I can say it’s at least good for someone getting into pipe smoking. You might like that it doesn’t blast you with strong flavors.

Bad flavoring
I wanted to like this tobacco, I really did. I have heard the topping, which isn't advertised, described as plum. That may be but only at first. From the mid point on all I could taste was an awful ammonia smell and flavor. If it maintained the initial flavor when lit, it would be great. Definitely not for me.

Smooth but with body. I take a puff and lean back as I utter, "Aaaahhh".

Heritage is smooth and almost gentle, with enough body to let you know it is there. I have ordered it several times and will order it many more times.
