La Brumeuse pipe tobacco from Tabac Manil is grown in Belgium using an heirloom Burley known as Semois. A 100% pure and unflavored craft pipe tobacco, this is a special blend. Earthy, reminiscent of nuts and mushrooms, this one isn’t for the faint-hearted, but fans of strong flavors will love the cigar-like earthiness of it.

Review Update
I wanted to add a few more things I noticed about this tobacco that I’ve noticed as I’ve smoked more of it. I have now tried it in various sized bowls and have decided that it tends to taste different in each one. May be my imagination but what can I say. In a larger bowl I definitely noticed the cigar that others have mentioned. Not bad since I like a cigar now and then. Some of the other bowls I’m just not sure of the exact flavor but I definitely still like it a lot. Even packed tight it still burns fairly quickly but still very satisfying. Leaves no moisture whatsoever in the bowl. I find that this a great smoke after dinner. It seems to be very relaxing. Again if you’re a burley fan you might want to give this a try. Happy Smoking.

Pipe tobacco like no other.
I put off trying this tobacco because of the reported strength of it. Well I finally had my first bowl of it and honestly I’m not sure what to make of it. I used one of my smallest pipes, about a group 1 I’d say and packed it as tightly as I could as recommended and lit it up. At first I’d have to say that it didn’t seem to be my cup of tea. After about the halfway point it started to grow on me. Some reviewers say it’s nutty and earthy and one said mossy. I did have to agree on the mossy review. To me it’s a very hard flavor and aroma to nail down. In the beginning I thought it wasn’t for me but now having finished my first bowl I find that I can’t wait to try it again. I can’t compare it to anything I’ve smoked before because it’s so unique. It burned very well, no tongue bite whatsoever and left the bowl completely dry. I suppose it is a strong tobacco but smoked slow and easy I didn’t find it nearly as strong as I expected. For those who like burley blends, which I do, definitely give it a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

La Brumuese Is worth the money!
Well, what a very unique blend and fragrance to this American tobacco palette. No problem re-hydrating it. A must, not kidding. Unless you like treating your tongue to a Marquis De Sade section. Smokes great, smooth, and did I mention the unique flavor. I smoke G&H blends so then of course unique blends appeal to me. Would rate this in a group of its own which is wonderful. Not any like the mass-produced baccys out there. Will definitely buy again and highly recommend to persons of an open mind & palette. Can't compare it to any blends which are what’s so appealing about it. Most blends out there you could use that phrase “Nudge one, Nudge them all.” to describe them. When I smoke this I know it’s special. It is after all one of a kind. Really should give it a go. Smoked in a BBB bent pipe with Brodie tea. The service was very professional.

Excellent
Such a wonderful tobacco! Sometimes earthy. Sometimes floral. Sometimes cigar-like. Almost impossible to truly classify. Must be experienced. One of the best pipe tobaccos I have ever had!

Real tobacco!
If you like true tobacco with no toppings, sauce, etc. And want the real taste of a nutty burley, then this is for you. One of my favorites when I need a change of pace.

Vincent MANIL
I like this stuff quite a bit. I have a cellar of around 50 tobaccos from which to choose. I find myself reaching for the green and gold foil packet more and more often. At first, I thought it seemed dry in texture and a little rough. After 5 bowls, over 2 weeks, I'd have to say I really like it. Interesting flavor to my palette. It's a thick cut, single strain tobacco. It packs easily. After smoking a quarter of the way down, the unique flavor kicks in. I can only describe it as earthy or mossy humus. I like to puff it a couple of times to stoke it up a bit. then express the smoke out through the nose to really taste it. It stays lit very well. You get that taste right down to the bottom of the bowl.

UNIQUE
Well, this tobacco is very different from any other pipe tobacco I've ever tried. It comes extremely dry and burns quick. I prefer it in a wide short bowl. It burns hot too so I smoke it extremely slow slower than any blend and I pack the bowl as tight as I can. By the time your charring light is over you're a quarter of the way down the bowl. It's a good tobacco and has excellent flavor.

Amazing
This is a fantastic tobacco, amongst the best I have ever had. This tobacco presents the best of the flavors you come to expect with burley. Along with a very interesting herbal/minty quality, and a nice pepper spice through the nose. It feels very dry out of the package, but fear not as it burns slow and cool throughout. A must for burley fans.
