A simple combination of Virginia and Burley tobaccos, topped with delicious flavors is a common key in many classic tobacco blends. Sutliff Maple Walnut may be “simple” but it is not ordinary. Drizzled with maple syrup, but never “bitey.” Walnut casings compliments the burleys used for a combination of bliss. Sutliff Maple Walnut often becomes a staple in a smoker’s rotation once discovered.

    Great light aromatic

Posted by Brandon Hall on 4th Oct 2024

This is a great aromatic to take a break from English blends with. I don't get that odd flavor that very heavy aromatic sometimes have. The maple and very nutty burley come through quite clean. I know it says walnut but it strongly resembles pecan spin wheels in taste and room note, though, that's probably just the southerner in me.

    Great tobacco

Posted by Bob on 22nd Feb 2024

This is a great smoking tobacco. It burns well and evenly. I smoke it every day. I find it a little moist when I open it so I let it sit in my tin opened to dry it out a little. Then each day I mix the dried tobacco remaining in my tin with fresh but moist tobacco and the result is a perfect smoke for me.

    Sutliff maple walnut

It used to be better, now it has way less aroma and sweetness, maple is less noticable, walnuts are almost absent

Very sweet. Not cloying. I really enjoy the retro-hale flavor. Easy to smoke.

    Astonished!

Posted by John on 18th Jul 2023

I had seen this blend over the years and was always curious about it. I ordered four ounces and tried it out. Wow! This blend is far better than I thought it would be. It’s like the flavors of maple, and walnut, were created to give tobacco a unique flavor! The flavors go together perfectly! This blend reminds me a lot of Walnetto Candy which is really good and dates myself. Smooth, enjoyable pipe of tobacco. Aroma is wonderful.

    Bad batch

Posted by Derrick on 10th Jul 2023

This has been my daily smoke for awhile now. I stocked up on some more a few months ago and I just smoked the first bowl last week. Something is wrong. It doesn't have any smell or taste to it like it has in the past. The best way I can describe it is hot air that is rough on the tongue. I was either sent some very old stuff by tobacco pipes.com or else I was shipped a different tobacco by mistake. This stuff is terrible. I don't see myself being able to smoke another bowl of it, much less the other 6 oz give or take.

Great first tobacco buy, definitely recommend for you syrup lovers out there!

Posted by Carter on 14th Jun 2023

I am new to pipes as of last week, and this is the first blend of tobacco I am buying. GREAT beginner's tobacco. Nice and smooth aromas, very light in flavors (probably due to the filter), but all around an enjoyable blend. Smells terrific in the packaging and even better while smoking! Can't go wrong. Will always keep this as a backup for bad blends I may encounter elsewhere. Smoke well and responsibly, friends!

This is my go to tobacco all the time. I spent years trying others including blending my own before I found this one. Try it and if you do not like it you can always send me what you have left ?.
