An Excellent Quality Blending Latakia
As a prior reviewer wrote, latakia is rarely smoked without it being a vital component of a Balkan/English blend. The process to create what we call latakia takes several days as the tobacco is gently smoke processed which does, indeed, remove most of the nicotine and may eliminate any tongue bite in a blend. My blends usually contain nearly 50% Sutliff latakia. I prefer a blend totally devoid of tongue bite. In bulk, to the best of my knowledge, Sutliff and Stokkebye are the only two blending latakias that are readily available.

Here is some clarification for those who do not know
Latakia tobacco is characterized by its black color and beautiful aromatic smell. But I did not like it personally when you smoke it, it has a carbonated taste and there is no nicotine sensation at all. In my opinion, it is preferable to mix it with other types just to add aroma and flavor.
