Sutliff Estate Pipe Tobacco

This is good stuff - strange and good. Technically, it is an aromatic but it is not a heavy one. Anyone who enjoys non-aromatics should like this one. The full flavor of the burley comes through along with the sweetness of the Virginia. There is a faint flavor of vanilla but it is hardly noticeable. I would have given it 5 Stars if it was more mild. This is just my taste. Make it a 5 Star if you enjoy a stronger, straight flavored tobacco.

Opening the bag, what I smelled was mostly Burley with some hay from the Virginia. The product description states it is an aromatic with vanilla and bourbon which I smelled neither. Vanilla being one of my favorite flavors and I was looking forward to this combination. The flavor I tasted was again burley and Virginia, I didn't taste either the vanilla or bourbon to a point where I could pick them out with certainty. As a burley/Virginia blend, it was not bad but I got this due to the vanilla/bourbon flavoring. There are other better straight burley/Virginia blends that I have tasted. I will finish what I have (as it's not bad) but will not reorder. This came dry, so no additional prep was needed. I did not have any tongue-bite with this blend as long as I smoked it slow.
