Sutliff E. G. Robinson blend tobacco

I smoked this blend 55-60 years ago. It's not quite as aromatic as I remember it. It's mild, burns more rapidly than I recall(a little drier-burns slightly hotter). It's a nice mild mix. I did add dampener disk into the tin. It seemed to improve dryness and hot burn.

A bit more harsh than i like

Not an everyday smoke. A fair change of pace smoke. Maybe once a week or every other week

    Edward G. Robinson Pipe Tobacco

After reading that this pipe tobacco was a favorite of the late Civil War historian Shelby Foote and was the original blend of actor Edward G. Robinson I had high hopes that I was in for something very special. Unfortunately, my experience proved less than my expectation. The tobacco was fresh and moist in its tin but I found the both the aroma and taste disappointing. The taste proved somewhat harsh and the aroma not pleasing. Even with tamping, the tobacco continued to go out. I could not recommend this tobacco nor would I purchase it again. Disappointing experience.

    Must try

This is a good aromatic that doesn't overdo it. Not a complicated blend but not one-sided either. An old-time smoke that I reach for more often than not. Will be purchasing more.

This is indeed a very nice light and sweet blend with just a hint of Latakia. It needs a little air-dry time to burn well. It smells great and is very satisfying. All in all, a very pleasant tobacco blend.

Has the blend changed? It doesn't seem as mild and aromatic as it did many years ago.

    Edward G Robinson pipe blend

It was around back in the mid-1970s when I first took up pipe smoking. It wasn't my first or second choice back then ( Edgeworth and Amphora Brown were). Yet when push came to shove I bought along with Kentucky Mild. Burley mainly with wine and a little lat for taste. Smokes great and if not pushed will not bite. I still include it in my rotation. By the by great with an Italian red.
