Average At Best
Not bad on its own merits, but compared to vanilla aromatics such as Molto Dolce, Lane 1Q, Panna Cotta and others, it comes up lacking in the vanilla department. The tobacco itself is of good quality and smokes smoothly, but there is hardly any vanilla flavor to speak of. It’s just a bit bland to me. Very smooth and won’t bite your tongue or gunk up your pipe. If you’re looking for a smooth smoke that barely has a hint of vanilla, this may be for you, but there are much better options for vanilla aromatics in my opinion.

Stanwell Vanilla
Great smooth smoke and no tounge bite. A little dryer than I expected but does smoke a little fast but still a great flavor and smoke!

Stanwell Vanilla 50-gram Tin
I picked up a tin of the Stanwell Vanilla recently at my local tobacco shop. I found the tin in a clean up the shelve basket marked down a bit. Although I truly am compelled to smoke an entire tin or more of any tobacco prior to comment; I must say I was impressed! The tobacco was a perfect moisture content, had minimal twigs in the blend, burns well in a couple of lights and remains lit with only a few tamps along the way. The delicious vanilla actually came through in the taste notes, as opposed to just a room scent. The room notes were pleasant, without being overbearing. Most of all, the taste remained consistent through the entire bowl (and yes I smoke to the bottom). I simply don't jump up and down with every tobacco I try; but this one is really a wonderful blend that I'd strongly recommend to the newbies out there! My only regret is not trying this blend many years ago. Pipe Used: Peterson Jeckle and Hyde Age When Smoked: A couple of months Purchased From: Local tobacconist Similar Blends: For some reason it reminds me of Borkum Riff back in the 70's. Although Borkum Riff isn't a vanilla, it just has similar taste notes in my opinion. Please don't attack me to let me know how different they are; because I just said that myself!.

I'm new
I think this type is for seasoned Piper's, I am new to the game and remember smelling nice aromatics as a kid so I had to try a few. Has awesome tin and room note, burns well. Here is the part you take with a grain of salt because I'm new, found it harsh on my mouth and then the taste wasn't really really pleasing to me, because I'm new so take that with a grain of salt.
