Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River Special Reserve Flake Pipe Tobacco

This was my first english blend and I am a new pipe smoker. That being said, I really enjoyed this tobacco. It had slightly higher moisture than some other tobaccos I have tried and the flake did not stay together in the tin. I found letting it air dry for 30 minutes worked great. I can honestly say that this is my favorite non-aromatic tobacco so far. No tongue bite and has a distinct pleasant smell. I am in my exploring phase otherwise I would be picking up many more tins of this for future use.

Nothing and I mean nothing compares to enjoying a long or short smoke of Mississippi River while at the Mississippi River. It remains my go to puff everytime I cross when traveling cross country (I dedicated a Savinelli Alligator Brown 673 to it) Perhaps it has to do with my actual seeing the MR and smoking MR at the same time or perhaps either/or it truly is just a magical event...bottom line it is a fine tobacco especially during colder months. No bite. Nuanced. Keeps the taste buds active. Nic hits just right. Grey ash...every time all the time. Hurts none to keep in stock especially during the colder months! Simply a treat anywhere. Cross country optional. Cheers!

Refreshing and flavorful. Not heavily dependent on latakia so that fuller flavors are evident.
