This blend is not quite an English blend, but has not been sweetened by any flavoring either, thus making is a non-aromatic blend. The main component is Oriental, followed by Turkish varieties and Virginia tobacco. Cut into shag, this is physically a very light and easy to smoke mixture. Order a tin of Orcilla tobacco for now and one for later!

A first smoke
As a new pipe smoker this was the first blend I have purchased and it was great. I would describe it as a very earthy, woody, and spiced blend. I look forward to trying the Wingfield Mixture soon.

Smooth & Delicious
Although a relatively new pipe smoker, I've recently begun advancing my knowledge through simple trial and error for both pipes and tobacco. This one is delicately nutty, smooth, & easy burning from the opening of the tin, which simply gets better as it slightly dries. Easy to prepare for the bowl, this is the 2nd one from Robert Lewis that I go to easily as one of my daily bowls. It could easily be an all-day choice as it doesn't become overpowering either at the end of the bowl or with repetitive ones. Burns to a fine, white ash. I enjoy it in one of my "freehands" whose grain is almost of the same color as this wonderful tobacco blend.

My Gold Standard
This blend sets the bar by which I judge other Oriental-forward blends. Smells of aged olives in the tin. After a light dry time, the flavor is beyond complex and very satisfying.

Top tier
Perhaps my favorite Oriental blend, though it is a crowded field. Just awesome stuff that I'm actively cellaring.
