A vast majority of the time, the defining factor in an english blend is a large portion of Latakia followed by a significant helping of Virginia. What is unique about the Reiner Red Label blend, an english blend, is that instead of a more traditional supplemental leaf, like Orientals or Turkish, a seemingly contradictory combination of Dark Fired Kentucky and Cavendish makes up the blend. However, something this absurd actually works. The blend is delicious.

A little spice
When I tasted this it was several blends "back in time" so this is from memory. I enjoyed it and recall it having a wonderful easy smokey spice to it. I do not recall having any "bite" issues with it. It was good enough that I ordered a tin that I put away to try again in the future. If I wish to move it down to a 3 or up to a 5 at that time, I'll edit my review. Honestly, I expect that with the further exploration and "training" my palate is getting, it could very well move "up" next time.
