This rather petite Peterson pipe has been designed for smokers who prefer to clinch down on the bite and prefer to keep their hands free while smoking. This Standard 313 model bent billiard pipe is one of the smaller billiard pipes made by Peterson of Dublin for this exact reason. However, if you like to smoke your pipes with your hands, and aren't really looking to clench your pipes, you can be sure that this Standard will still smoke exactly the way you want it to.

Good Things Come in Small Packages
The Peterson Standard 313, arrived this morning. Petite, places me in mind of my Peterson 68 Army Mount. The pipe is exceptionally well made. The bowl chamber, factory carbonized. Fit of the stem tenon, absolutely perfect. Metal band, applied with utmost skill. The finish of the stummel, appears to be diluted lacquer in satin gloss, and not overdone. Less is more. I believe this is my 114th pipe, and I did not immediately fire it up. I wanted to get to know it, before getting personal with it. The pipe feels nice in my hand. The fishtail stem, has to be the most comfortable of any pipe in my collection. The pipe rests inside of my shirt pocket with only a hint of the stem button showing. Next was the decision of which burley blend to use. I am a burley smoker of 52 years of pipe smoking. My decision made. Carbonized bowl, and I was adventurous, filling the bowl with a snug packing, and I did not light the pipe. Delightfully the Peterson Standard 313 rest in my mouth, the nutty burley taste drawing easy, and in time, I lit the pipe. Very smooth. Very cool. Flavorful, without any foreign tastes piggybacking the mixture. An easy, restful, smoke. No gurgling issues from the pipe. I decided to place a perforated bowl cap onto the pipe, and it was a bit snug, but workable. The pipe continued to smoke cool, all the way to the heel. I happen to love Peterson pipes. I recommend this pipe. I rate this pipe 5-stars, of a 5-star rating. The price was a bit steep, but then that made me think, and through the burley smoke, the cobwebs of yesterday opened, and I remembered something very price and small. I placed it on my wife's finger 45 years ago.

Great Pipe
I'm new to the pipe world and bought this pipe purely upon its looks. I was not disappointed at all, it is gorgeous. I constantly get people asking about it because it looks so nice. Smokes really well from my novice point of view, I definitely recommend it.
