Peterson System 307
This is my first new pipe in over twenty years. This pipe was purchased to replace a damaged 307 purchased over Twenty years ago. I'm not a fan of rusticated pipes but this rustication was executed very nicely. To me the rustication is not as nice as sandblasting but has a very nice fell and appearance. I do not like the coating Peterson applies to their pipe bowl interiors. Peterson claims their bowl interior coating is only wax - I still don't like it, looks cheap! Anyhoo I carefully sanded out the wax coating and gave the pipe a few smokes. Very pleasant! The pipe is drilled perfectly and smokes great! The briar is feather light and I detected no flaws or fills. Very nice piece of briar indeed. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment from my new pipe. Abby was wonderful to deal with.
