The ‘408’ shape is almost an Author shape, but not quite. Regardless, it begs to be filled with a nice smokey Latakia blend. When the 408 is paired with the ever-popular Donegal Rocky series, it has a distinctly Savinelli feel that makes us wonder how much the two famous brands watch each other’s design. One of our favorite pipes in this series!

Good pipe
Overall a good smoking pipe. Great size and feel in the hand. Only criticism is with fit/finish where the stem meets the briar and ring. Can see light through a small gap. It's a minor thing, but i expected better QC from Peterson. None of my other Petersons have this issue and it doesn't affect how well it smokes.
