Great taste, burns hot
I really love the flaver and aroma but I can't seem to smoke this slow enough to keep my pipe from being hot to the touch. Seems like this may be better suited for more experienced smokers than me.

Nice tin note and the right moisture content to smoke right away. Did not burn the tongue.

Optimum is right!
Stumbled upon this recently and by far is now my favorite. Gentle, yet very flavorful, burns well. Some complexity going on here as well. Absolutely wonderful.

Very nice, light aromatic
This reminds me of 40+ years ago going to the mall and sticking my nose in all the cookie jar aromatic containers at The Pipe Den. Has a great nose in the jar - mildly sweet and fruity - rather unique - not at all heavy or syrupy. Lights easily and stays lit with no drying time. A nice light, easy, classic black cavendish/burley/virginia smoke.

PETER STOKKEBYE PS 31 OPTIMUM PIPE TOBACCO
This is the only pipe tobacco I have enjoyed and had no complaints from those who smelled the smoke. My mouth also enjoyed the flavor.
