Good Smoke
This tobacco is in the same ballpark as HH Burley Flake but has some rough edges. I think some jar time will bring this one around the corner of a solid burley blend. Nic is medium. I've smoked several bowls of it and nothing remarkable jumps out at me. I like it but I think jar time for now will do some good.

Rich n Smooth
I've never been a HUGE burly fan, always preferring the lighter, sweeter bright leaf when I can get away with it, but, with it's low acidity (and tongue bite), I will admit burly tobacco has it's place in the piping world, especially when you're dealing with aromatics that have little to no citrus flavor (such as chocolate, or coffee flavor, for example). As entertaining as it is, most people eventually get tired of smoking coffee and chocolate (at least when they're alone), and want to lean into a mixture that has a bit more of a tobacco flavor, so they reach for some burley for their private mixture. My grandfather used to PREFER burleys, when applicable, with his favorite being Prince Albert. HOWEVER, Prince Albert has changed ownership several times (if I'm not mistaken), and it's my belief that what you can buy under the Prince Alberts name TODAY is simply NOT what it used to be, based upon my last two purchases. It has a dirty, medicine/pesticide flavor, and it does this weird thing that tickles your throat (in a BAD way). The FIRST time I thought it was a fluke, so I ordered some more. Nope, definitely no good. I've since then talked to other pipe smokers who have tried it in the last couple of years (to make sure I'm not crazy?), and more than one have agreed it's terrible. I'm not sure if they OVER spray it, or fail to rinse it right, or maybe the tobacco soaked up pesticides from the ground, or what, but I'm done with Prince Albert. ...which brings me to PGJ. It's rich, smooth, and (I must admit), rather TASTY. Maybe I've just been smoking the garbage burley for so LONG, that I forgot what good burleys TASTE like! The Prince is going in the toilet (where he BELONGS). The only thing useful that I got out of the deal was the plastic container (for about $45 ..lol), which, FRANKLY, doesn't deserve it's LABEL, so I think I'm going to soak it and remove it. I'll take my burleys WITHOUT the Agent Orange, thank you. PGJ Burley is clean, honest, rich, smooth, tasty tobacco. If you're looking for a quality burley to blend with (or you just want a simple, rich, mellow tobacco to enjoy with your coffee first thing in the morning), look no further than PGJ Burley blend. You won't be disappointed. TASTY.

Great Blend
Great burley all on its own I’m sure it will mix well but I’m getting a pound to mostly smoke on it’s own.
