Silver is one of the oldest precious metals in the world. Since ancient times, humans have known about its rarity and value, where it was forged into coins and treasures around the globe. The earliest known silver coins were found in the ancient nation of Lydia, located in what is now known as Turkey, around 500 BC. However, silver had been mined and refined thousands of years before then.
The popularity of silver stayed relatively the same for the entirety of the ancient world. It saw the biggest explosion in demand after the discovery of the "New World" when Columbus landed in the Americas. South America, in particular, was rich in silver veins that the Spanish mined, turning them into one of the richest countries ever.
It is because of the value and rarity of silver that Nording created a series of pipes featuring intricately designed sterling silver bands that are of excellent quality and worthy of collection.
Each of the five Double Silver series pipes we offer is unique, meaning you will be able to hold onto a piece that nobody else can have. The only thing that is similar between these pipes is the two sterling silver bands on the smoking pipes, with amazing designs from the Nording silversmiths that helped mold the bands into the look they have.
Each of the Double Silver smoking pipes will show off the grain of the high quality briar Nording uses. These are all wonderful pieces that will look great in any pipe collection, and thanks to the skills of Erik Nording and his son Knud, they will serve you well.
