Smooth Smoke
A great tobacco, very good intro to Virginia tobacco

VIRGINIA
So boring and so light.

Good Straight VA
Mea Culpa; I don't have the refined palate that many of the reviewers do so don't expect me to describe the subtle nuisances of this tobacco. This is a great, straight forward Virginia with a hint of sweetness. It reminds me of Rattray's Hal O the Wynd but less complex. And it doesn't have the characteristic Mac Baren Mac Bite. I would recommend this tabac to anyone trying to escape from aromatics and discover what real tobacco tastes like.

Mac Baren Virginia #1
A smooth, satisfying smoke - slow-burning. Typical Virginia.

Great smoke!
This is a very good Virginia tobacco. It is good for an every day smoke. My only issue I had with it is getting it to that sweet spot of drying out. Once you find it you will be a happy camper. The tobacco is not overwhelmingly strong and I highly recommend it.

Virginia Flake
Once again Mac Baren is the best damn Virginia Flake there is!

Virginia No 1 ready rubbed
Best Virginia tobacco, smooth burns at the right rate, very nice, even for the people around.

Wish I found this sooner
This is very nice if you don't mind a slight top coating (which MacBaren always seems to do). I got used to their practice of doing that because I enjoy their Navy Flake, and this is very similar in character. It's not very woody, like a lot of straight Virginias are, but if you take it for what it is, it's very good. Oddly, it enjoys being packed fairly tightly (just like it is in the tin, they say), but smoked slow and with a 9mm filter, or it goes sour, but still doesn't bite.
