WOW. As a new pipe smoker and Virginia lover, this is an amazing blend! On my first light I found that this is already a tasty tobacco. No cure needed. I still plan to let 5-6 flakes cure for at least a month. Beautiful Virginia flavors, sweet and aromatic. Great lunch break smoke or in the morning with a cup of coffee/tea. Nicotine level is decent but not enough to put ya down. Only downside I could see would be price but I would buy this again at what I paid for it. If you need someone to help guide your decision about this one: BUY IT.

As another reviewer noted Pure Va is certainly worthy of the cellar to fully develop that great Va tobacco taste & aroma for which they’re renown. I purchased this tin a couple years ago but noted that my tin was dated 2015 ... so this fine tobacco has had 6-7 yrs of fermenting & mellowing ... it tastes & smells great! A big thank you to the fine folks at TobaccoPipes.com ... always a great selection, fast delivery (when the USPS mail service upholds their end of the delivery), and just great customer service. I've only been smoking a pipe with different English blends since mid March, so my review is based just on how pleasant this experience was. Also, I only smoke one bowl at night so I guess I would be considered a part timer. WOW!! I really liked the taste of this! For lack of a better term, it tasted sweet. I enjoy tobacco taste and this satisfied. Burned this in my only briar pipe, a Savinelli Tortuga (bent apple). I would definitely buy this again.

I choose to do so to ween myself off smoking cigarettes and in doing so, perusing the internet I came upon this sight, purchased a pipe and a few days later bought my first tin of Mac Baren HH Hot Pressed Pipe Tobacco. Thank you for having this product and look forward to this new adventure in your world of pipes and tobacco!

When I first started smoking a pipe, I got many aromatic blends, but was not very happy with the experience. This is coming from a cigarette smoker who was trying to transition to pipes. I spoke with someone who recommended this as something more similar to cigarette tobacco than the aromatics. I enjoyed this flavor and taste, also I liked the cut better than the bulk cut blends I had previously purchased. After smoking this for awhile, I started trying more aromatics and was able to appreciate/enjoy them as well (I truly like the room notes of the aromatics and it takes me back to older days memories)... The only negative I have is some of the tins after the initial opening, did not seal well. If I didn't smoke as frequently as I was, this may cause an issue with humidity for others, unknown if I got some bad tins or if this is common with this type of tin (remember I am new at this hobby).
