Beautiful Tobacco - even for the beginner
This is a very smoky, earthy, spicy, nutty, slightly sweet and dark Kentucky roast. Some bitter citrus and grass, some wood and earth, some spiced dark fruit and some sugar. More fermentative than JC Double Pressed Virginia. Double pressing produces a fairly smooth, mellow, mature blend of Kentucky and Virginia, removing the sharpness and many of the rough edges usually found in dark fired Kentucky. It doesn't bite or become too harsh. The cake is crumbly and easily broken. It has a very cool, clean, slow burn. It has a very consistent, well balanced, fairly rich, modestly sweet flavour from start to finish.

Double pressed Kentucky
This one worried me a bit when I opened the tin, it was extremely pungent of a spiced bbq sauce But then whaaaam! I was incredibly impressed with the amazing earthy deep flavor coming from this blend…. Just enough pepper on the pallet to add a bit of interest

Perfect balance
My daily smoke. Best balance I have found between strength and flavor. Always burns clean.

JC Double Pressed Kentucky
This has quickly rose to one of my favorites. It requires some relights, but gets better with drying time. For me it starts and ends with some pepper, which i don't mind to much. From 1/4 to 3/4 its full but smooth with hints of smoke that reminds me of hickory. I also get some leathery smooth tastes, dark fruit, earthy, and a tad sweet. I do enjoy how it seems to change through out the smoke and holds your attention. Even at a small ember, it still gives what i think is a full, chewy smoke. I have to let it dry quite a bit out of the tin to my preference, but i've noticed that is the same with the double pressed line.
