Half & Half Pipe Tobacco

I've been smoking pipe for a long time and had many different tobacco's to smoke but half and half is always the best go to for a smooth experience. No tongue bite and good old fashion smoke. A great mixture. I really enjoy smoking it.

I just started smoking a pipe again. I'm 76 years old and have smoked pipes and cigars off and on over the years. I have always used the drug store OTC tobaccos so I remembered the Half & half brand from years ago. I like the room note, but the taste and finish leave me lacking. So I have been trying other blends that people recommend on youtube pipe blogs. I got some Presbyterian English blend to love the finish and also have some Seattle club plum pudding coming hope it's as good or better than recommendations.

Picked this up to try the classic good old-fashioned OTC Burley..it has a good Burley taste..nothing super spectacular..the "bright" in the label , I guess is the Virginia,this blend is simple,easy to smoke,cool burning and when slowly smoked,has an enjoyable,nutty flavor with something that is a little extra....a bit different than Carter Hall,which I like a little more for it's almost chocolaty taste..I see why this has been around for so long...it is good and just right for carrying in a pouch in your shirt pocket,always ready for a quick burly smoke as the notion comes along.,.Very good for sampling different tobacco types to flavor them all out.

Will order more some time.

I've smoked this stuff for 40 years and I love it,but I'm always looking for something better.

Smokes well and easy. Has a unique aroma/flavor. Reminds me of cinnamon and mild cherry, possibly from coriander and cardamom, which this tobacco is said to be topped with. Not overly sweet, mild, burns well with few relights fresh out of the tin. It would likely burn better with slight dry time. Great tin scent No bite, what more can be asked? No need to dog it as an OTC, it is a good classic that withstood the test of time, and tastes better since Scandanavian group brought it back to the original blend, less additive PG from what I read.

First time to order, will check back in the future.

This was the only tobacco my Dad smoked all the time. I tried it 40 years ago and a few weeks ago and it is not for me. Room note is good but I like my tobacco a bit sweeter.
