a welcome surprise
I was surprised at how much I enjoy this aromatic. Coming from cigars I tend to favor non-aromatics like English or Va/Per blends. But the oddly floral scent that flavors Ennerdale captured my interest. While it can and has been described as 'old lady perfume' I find that it's really very mild. The tin note is only strong if you shove your nose right in it. But from even a foot away it's hard to even detect. Compare this to Autumn Nights which is basically smoke-able potpourri that overwhelms an entire room in seconds just from opening the tin. The floral/citrus flavor combines with a fairly thin cloud of smoke to deliver a very mellow experience. Understated is a good word to describe it. Once the topping burns off and you are left with tobacco, Ennerdale stands out. Many aromatics lose their individual character late in the bowl as they often use a similar blend of tobaccos. But Ennerdale keeps a unique identity throughout. I found myself really enjoying the tobaccos on their own more than I do most other aromatics. There was a bit of gurgling near the end, and despite not delivering a strong flavor- Ennerdale did leave my pipe a bit ghosted with that floral note. I'm really surprised that I found this aromatic so enjoyable. I am glad I gave Ennerdale a chance because suddenly I have an aromatic that I truly enjoy.

Perfumey
Smells like old lady perfume. The tobacco is nicely pressed and great quality but I can't get past the rose.

Desert Island Smoke.
While not for everyone, I have come to absolutely love Ennerdale Flake and never want to be without it. If you’ve never had it you need to try it. It tastes of almond, and fruit sweetness but still Let’s the tobaccos shine through as well. You either get it or you don’t, As always Tobacco Pipes customer service was top notch. I am always amazed how I can order from here several days after placing an order from one of there competitors and without fail my package from Tobacco Pipes arrives first, keep up the amazing work!

everyday
this is a very good top-quality smoke. the note is very sweet with that of apricots and raisin. the smoke itself is tasty with no notable Lakeland that many like. I enjoy it with my morning coffee. mine is a year old and matured very well. brand new it was a bit harsh for me and just average. time has made it great. a really good med nic smoke.

ennerdale
I loved this tobacco for 20 years but then ordered 10 tins. The tins were different from the dark green ones advertised. They had an orange streak in the middle and the words: "Aromatic tobacco on them. Horrible stuff, not at all like the Ennerdale I loved. Hope I can get the real stuff soon. I spent over $100 and had to throw stuff away.

Gawith and Hogarth Ennerdale Flake Tobacco
My absolute favorite tobacco. Checks all the boxes in every way. Highly recommended if you are a beginner or experienced pipe smoker. 5 Stars ⭐️

Awesome. Not as heavy on the Lakeland as Bosun or Conniston. Great smoke!!
