My favorite tobbacco
I have been a pipe smoker for about 40 years I hail from Scotland so my early preference was Scottish English and Irish blends I used to love the Irish blend Mick McQuade sadly though that is gone I turned to Gawith Hogarth as I always loved the old school approach to making good tobacco the dark flake unscented is definitely for the experienced smoker however you get no bite the flavour is full and long lasting basically its total quality my favorite and go to tobacco.

Dark Flake unscented
This is an old school English flake tobacco traditionally made its strong and full flavoured with an excellent taste ivecsmoked this as my go to tobacco for years and never had pipe burn once smoke slowly to enjoy its maximum pleasure its tobacco like they used to make keep up the good work. This flake is not for a beginner but will compliment the more experienced smoker.

Dark Flake Unscented
I love most GH&Co tobaccos but this is one of my all time favorites. It's as strong as it is dark. Smokes great with a morning cup of strong, black coffee or during cocktail hour, or after a good meal. I only gave it 4 starts - because I like the Dark Flake Scented version better. But when they are out of the DF Scented (as was the case for this order), I'll grab this version. Good smoke.

Dark Flake
Nice and strong. comes in long length flakes. I cut them up into 3rds and store them in mason jars. They crumble up pretty easy, easier than Irish flake let's say. Not too wet but I do dry them for anywhere to 30 mins to a couple hours before I smoke them. I usually rubbed the flakes out and smoke them that way. Has a nice dark fired taste and a decent amount of nicotine (which I like). I'm glad I ended up getting the 500G box, can't wait to see how they taste after some jar time.

Dark flake
Deep flavor. A touch of Lakeland. Unscented means, not the aromatic blend. Which btw is awesome.

Love this stuff
Medium/strong baccy. Excellent taste if you take it slow...dont push it. Requires some relight...but once it gets going all is well. Excellent customer service provided by tobaccopipes staff.

Unscented?
This "unscented" version of G&H's Dark Flake still has a good amount of Lakeland Essence in it. If you're not a fan of Lakelands stay away.
