G.L. Pease Telegraph Hill
If you like Virginia's, you'll probably like this tobacco. Unless, of course, you're a flake snob... (Said with humor).. It's a good ribbon cut Virginia and is easy to light and smoke. I keep it in my rotation and smoke a bowl usually weekly.

What happened?
2 stars just for the preparation, I suppose. I find this to be extremely unpleasant. The virginias do not look the like the photograph. They are dry, brown flakes that taste like raw burley tobacco with heavy bitterness. The perique has no sweetness, but rather an intense and very sharp bite. Even in thick wall pipe with a filter this was bitter and sharp. Many of these GLP blends are very different from the originals version, even 10 years ago. I had the same problem with Fillmore, which looks nothing like it did when the series was first released.

Pease Telegraph Hill
Another excellent Virginia/Perique from Pease. The Virginia is a little more prevalent than the perique. Smokes cool, stays lit. All in all a great tobacco.

My kinda Virginia
I am an English type smoker, but in the mornings I smoke a Virginia / Vaper in a Meerschaum. This is a fine smoke, very well behaved. I could be quite content making this my regular morning VA.

My new favorite
Best VaPer I've smoked. Burns perfect from the tin. Has a bready and hay tin note and when smoked I think I'm tasting a slight hint of citrus and high quality Virginia. Whatever it is it's good and is an all day smoke without a doubt. Will buy the big can next time. Thank you TP.com you have a great company with an awesome selection.
