Because Meridian has more Orientals and less Latakia than a traditional english blend, it is considered a Balkan. In this case the exotic Oriental components used deepens the flavor of the blend, making it about as rich as possible. But even with all it's flavor, Meridian can still be enjoyed by any pipe smoker with ease.

Wow, what a great blend, I love this blend, I love C&D blend which makes G.L. Pease. If you like Balkan's or English blends this is a much try.

Everyday anytime
Latakia forward smell but does not overwhelm the palate. A physically light smoke except for initial light and or heavy puffing. Decent taste nothing to really speak of here not too much not too little. Is not "wife" certified states that it leaves a cigarette acrid room note soon after smoking. It is enjoyable and no real "hard" nicotine hits.
