Despite it’s simple name, Blackpoint is perhaps the most complex of the G.L. Pease pipe tobacco blends we’ve tried to-date. With Cyprian Latakia, sensual Orientals, a blend of bright and red Virginias and just a dash of spicy Perique, this one is for fans of strong, full-taste blends. Think of leather mixed with rum-raisin and you might get a pretty good idea of how this unflavored blend shows up on the palate.

Very nice
I find BP to be a notch or two below Maltese Falcon. Although MF is a bit more oriental forward (balkan) which I really like a lot. BP is by no means boring though - it is a well balanced english blend, similar to Nightcap - but not as strong. I will likely pick up more in future.

G. L. PEASE BLACKPOINT PIPE TOBACCO
Robust and enjoyable pipe tobacco; substantial without being too heavy. Best smoked slowly in a quality briar pipe. Good price, but I would prefer it be available in bulk as well. Four-star rating (not five) only because some pipe tobacco blends I consider even better. dm

Nice mild blend
Upon opening, it feels pretty dry so it went into a jar. Reminds me of a milder version of Westminster. It smokes just fine but to me sometimes it feels harsh though maybe it's that I'm still a n00b and tend to puff like a freight train. I would buy again for an all-day English smoke.
