We are thrilled that G. L. Pease has blended a solid Balkan. As one of our favorite tobacco types, Balkan's are often muddled down and confused with English blends, but not Abingdon. A great bonus of this blend is that the room note is not as unpleasant or strong as you would expect a decent Balkan to be. All of these attributes combine and cause Abingdon to be ranked high in our favorite tobaccos list.

Bland and empty
Did not like it. It feels empty no taste at all.

G. L. Pease quality
This is the 4th G.L. Pease blend I've tried, and I can't say I am disappointed. There seems to be a minimum level below which they don't fall. I suppose the trick is in leaf selection. This burns cool and smooth, a notch above your generic English blend. I'll smoke Westminster and Odyssey regularly, but I may not get around to this one again. Nothing wrong with it. I tend to go for the Latakia-heavy Englishes.
