This is one of those cases that we hear from time to time in the tobacco blending world—or really any place where ingenuity is appreciated. The story of an enthusiast with a discerning palate and passion for the craft and culture taking their exploration for a more fulfilling smoke into their own hands. The pursuit is personal, not born of commercial aspirations, but nonetheless, it’s shared with some friends...some friends’ friends... some friends’ friends’ friends...
Such a story is certainly the case with Desiree Sylver, founder and CEO of Drunk Chicken Cigars. Sylver began her interest in cigars roughly twenty years ago. As an avid traveler, she always made a point to stop at the lounges of places she’d visit.
While visiting a Florida cigar rolling shop, she recruited the craftsman to create a blend she developed, curated to her tastes. Satisfied with the resulting mixture, Sylver came to the shop with more blend ideas. Soon she was sharing her creations at lounges—the response from those in the cigar community was sound affirmation that Sylver’s blends were something special.
Maryland’s Aphelion Cigar Lounge was the first to carry Drunk Chicken Cigars, but soon they were on the shelves of many local shops.

That first cigar of Sylver's was the Drunk Chicken DCO, which launched with the brand in 2019. A smooth, full bodied Maduro made from the finest Nicaraguan, Mexican, and Ecuadorian tobacco leaf. But the brand has expanded since.
The Drunk Chicken catalogue features an assortment of profiles strategically assembled to satisfy a diversity of palates. From mild to full bodied premium cigars, each hand-rolled with grade A longleaf tobacco, there is something here for the beginner cigar smoker as well as the seasoned connoisseur.
