Standard rolled paper filters. They absorb moisture as they should. Don’t overly restrict airflow.

I am now a believer in Dr Grabow pipe filters. Especially in their full bent pipes. Withe full beats, NO tar gets through at all. I change my filters after every 3d bow I'm amazed at how clean they keep the pipe. All of this benefit without a whit of taste loss! I'm a convert!

Don't know how they are made but compared to that other red box of filters Dr. G are hands down better. I can get 2 bowls from one filter as opposed to barely one from the other. also you can feel the better build. Yes, I've had some seem a fraction too long but that could just be a manufacturing run.
