Liked it
A good no-nonsense American pipe. Smokes great and does not get hot. I deducted a star due to the cleaning required prior to smoking and inconsistent staining of the bowl. As a side note, the pipe does not have a silver band. I knew this when purchasing the pipe. I think it would be nice if DG would go back to putting the silver accent back on their pipes IMHO.

It is a really good pipe, I love it. Just the one you receive is not exactly what is shown in the photo, there is no metal ring middle of the stem. Also, the one I received, the stem hole through the chamber was not drilled, so I had to push a rod inside to make it open.

The description is COMPLETELY accurate. This is far better pipe than its price suggests. It breaks in really quickly, smokes beautifully, looks classy and you don't have to worry about it, given its great price. If you are at all interested in this pipe, buy it. It's quickly become one of my favorites.

Grand Duke Billiard
I love these Dr. Grabows and as a pipe smoker and collector for more than 62 years I have a collection that ranges from Dunhills to Missouri Meerschaums. Some of my favorite smokers are the Dr. Grabows. This last Grand Duke Billiard is a beautiful pipe and there's no better place to place to buy them than from Tobaccopipes.com. This example has very nice grain and no fills. It is drilled perfectly and smokes like a dream. It would be a great value at twice the 40.00 price. It seems as though the quality is actually better than it used to be and the fact that they're still made in the U.S.A. is encouraging.
