What is in it?
This is an aromatic blend with cherry flavor
Burley: There is Burley in this blend, although you may struggle to notice it.
Virginia: The Virginia seems to be the main component.
Cavendish: You will find quite a bit of black Cavendish present.

What does it smoke like?
Blood Red Moon is a full aromatic pipe tobacco.  The taste of the tobacco is not entirely overwhelmed by the topping, but rather combines into one flavor.  I taste very sweet cherry, and dark chocolate.  The flavor is similar to eating a cherry cordial, but there is a bread like toasty taste that has to be the Burley and Virginia.  For a full aromatic, I noticed no tongue bite.  The tobacco left no dottle, but there was some moisture in the bowl.  The next bowl of whatever you have in the same pipe may have a ghost of cherry flavor.

How to prepare it?
Aromatic pipe tobacco is very sensitive to preparation.  Take one bowl's worth out of the tin and let it dry in the air for at least half an hour.  When the tobacco is no longer moist/sticky you are ready to pack.  Use a light hand while packing the bowl.  A two step pack is better than a three step pack for this blend.  If it won't stay lit, use a tamper to tighten the pack a bit.  Don't smash it in since it is very difficult to loosen the tobacco again.  You should have no trouble drawing air thru the pipe.  Smoke with a controlled, slow cadence for maximum flavor.

    Tobacco Review

Finally got my hands on this tobacco and was curious to try it. Now, as someone who has difficulty singling out specific flavours from tobacco, I found this blend to be completely flavourless. It was pleasantly smooth nevertheless, and I did not feel much if any tongue bite, however, I was slightly dissapointed in the product's impressions overall. I would recommend it however for anyone looking for a smooth, enjoyable aromatic blend.

    Great Flavor

This has great aroma and flavor. Easy to light and sustains the smoke for a lengthy time. Taste and smokes best while smoking it with a meerschaum pipe. Not bad with other pipes but if you want the true flavor and aroma, definitely recommend this method.

Smells so good my wife can smell it 150 ft from our deck as she works on her garden, and she loves the smell of it. Really a great blend. Love it.

The only tobacco that hits the spot after a day of death, destruction, consuming souls, and foul deeds.....Pairs well with Black Lagers, Porters, and coffee forward Stouts.

Even if you don’t like aromatics, like me, this is a must try. Very pleasant room note. The reviews speak for themselves.

    Cult Blood Red Moon

For starters, I really like the artwork on the front of the can. But, that's not why we're here. This tobacco is great. It has a slight taste of cherry, which I'm very thankful for because I've tasted a couple cherry tobaccos that taste like a mouth full of Robitussin. But I also like that Cult BRM isn't all about accenting the cherry, either. It has beautiful and subtle notes of chocolate, vanilla, leather, and a great lingering woodsy taste. This is a very good tobacco to bring out with you in public for it's wonderful aroma that others really enjoy, also. I've been complimented by so many people on the wonderful aroma it has. Anyway, if you've never tried it, I'm definitely recommending you do. You will not be disappointed. Well, happy smoking! ?

    A delicious aromatic.

Upon opening the tin you are hit with the aroma of cherries not too unlike sniffing a snifter of Cherry Heering. This blend of burley, virginia and cavendish is nicely flavored enough to give a delicious mouth experience. The room note is quite pleasing and not overpowering. The draw is sweet with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Because of its mellow body and flavor you may be drawn into it. If you love tobacco and by that the beautiful flavor of the leaf I wouldn’t recommend this but if you want a well blended aromatic which is a comforting experience I do recommend a tin. I did let my tin breathe a bit. It packs beautifully and lights easily. One of mt favorites.
