C&D captain bob's blend
Not sure what I got but this is just a plan English blend. Nothing but a slight tobaccoish smell no grape sweet or anything smell. Also drier than a Egyptian mummy. Total crap.

Cornell and Diehl's Captain Bob's Blend
I first tried Captain Bob's in my Peterson 2021 St. Patrick's pipe. I made the mistake of skipping my usual bourbon deep clean when trying new tobacco, a big mistake. I had previously smoked Rattay's Black Virginian in that pipe and the strong taste of the Capt. Bob's and lingering Virginian was very off-putting. I did a good cleaning and tried again. It was a lot better, but still very strong tasting. However, it was not an unpleasant taste, and decided to try it out in a brand new pipe, a Brebbia Sun 834 with a meerschaum insert. This pipe is my only filtered pipe, and I thought the meerschaum insert would give me a true taste. It did! The taste is still rather strong, but now I find it a very pleasurable change in my 4 tobacco rotation. The room note is very nice and well-tolerated by the family. I give it 4 stars because I do not think this is a good tobacco for novice pipe smokers. Try C&D's Maple or Sutliff-999-nine-mixture-pipe-tobacco.
