Cobblestone Hiking
Fantastic Burley. I'm relatively new to smoking but I've tried a few blends so far. Wessex Burley Slice, Panna Cotta, Nightcap, Early Morning, Cult Blood Red Moon, Auenland Shire, Peterson Sweet Killarney, Kolhase & Kopp Carribean Blue Drake & a few others. This Burley Flake blows them all out of the water In my opinion. The mouth feel is a nice medium smoke, mildly sweet & nutty on the inhale, with a peppery tang on the retro hale. Must have.

Premium Burley Flake
This is by far, the Best burley flake out on the market and that's been well stated by now. I've now had the pleasure of experiencing most of the burley flakes that are out on the market minus 2 out of the 5 cornell and diehl burley flakes. Pleasantly and fortunately enough, every company's burley blend does have something different to bring to the table, ever so great or subtle as that may be, Each one Is different from the other. Smoking them all, I can certainly attest to and appreciate that. Getting back to the Hike, this stuff definitely lends it self to the superior quality that sometimes is just plain simplicity. But is it just plain? If we're talking about being bogged down with heavy casings and or toppings on top of being a high quality blend already, then Yes. Yeah there's PG in it to hold the flakes together but, that's irrelevant. PG is what PG does. And that does'nt include flavoring the tobacco. I could go on a Gawith rant right now if you want to talk about exorbitant amounts of PG and Sopping Wet! I have to give it to Cobblestone and K&K, this is very light on the PG, which is the reason why this blend breaks up, packs, lights, and burns down ever so lovely. I've been smoking this a lot lately and I feel like there may be a few different foreign and domestic components as to the majestic make up of this more than savory full and satifying flavor(African,Mexican,American,Brazilian?). Other than the existence of a slight sugar casing, I don't detect any topping. As others have stated, No Chocolate. Maybe cocoa but there's a difference. Simply meaning, it's a natural flavor. I barely detect the casing either, which, isn't a bad thing neccesarily but, a good way to know how much casing is in a blend, is to smoke a really pure blend in that same pipe,i.e one that isn't a flake, that hasn't any PG in it to make all that unburnt sugar stick around in the bowl. One like Cornell & Diehl, maybe throw some Yorktown in there and you'll be able to taste that residual casing or top flavor well into that fresh bowl of Yorktown. Back to the Hike, all of the natural flavors and nuances of this blend have been well stated in other reviews. I read and hear a lot about peoples desire for consistency. Then I have to ask, what kind of consistency are you looking for? One thing I've learned about smoking tinned tobacco, is that in the search for consistency; smoking fresh, to smoking in various different pipes, to smoking the same pipe, to smoking aged tins, to smoking now jar-aged, creates quite a myriad of results in regards to flavor, Depending on the Blend you are smoking and the science going on within the house of your tobacco. If you ever notice more than a few things going on in your smoke, you a have complex blend in your pipe and you need look no further for consistency, for you'll consistently have a complex smoke every time, no matter the latter circumstances housing your tobacco. The leaf is alive my friend. Anytime you have a blend composed of a few different leafs plus you have just the right amount of casing or topping on it, that's a complex blend. Some like it simple. Is burley simple? Not all the time. This Hiking blend is for people who would highly enjoy all of the simplicities and complexities of the Burley leaf, from dark, rich, earthy, creamy and savory flavors and nuances with literally just a bit of tang and a bit of spice showing up for a second or two somewhere throughout the smoke. Also fit for hikers and kings I suppose.

Amazing Burley Flake
This is the best, kind of available, burley flake I have smoked in a long time. Since other classic flakes are no longer really available, I pick this up when I can and smoke it sparingly.

great blend
You just climbed a mountain and sat on a sun warmed rock high above a pretty valley. What do you load in your pipe? This is another of Cobblestones offerings that I find delicious. So much so it earned a very rare 5/5. Comes in pressed flake form with an enticing tin note that carries to the top note of the first light. mid bowl is smooth with the flavor fading to a creamy peppery experience ending with a very satisfying power level. Highly recommend to all Enthusiasts and newcomers looking for a blend with flavor, no bite, and a full finish. just leave a tin for me!

great tobacco
Wonderful tobacco and an irresistible mixture. Once the pot is done, I find myself eager to light another pot. The nicotine in it is more than wonderful.
