Charatan Eventide
This is a very nice blend for late afternoon or early evening. The Latakia and Perique are well-balanced, and the Oriental seems to enhance the smoky spiciness of that blend. There is a note of sweetness, somewhat like bread or yeast rolls, that has a slightly fruity undertone. Tin note is pure Latakia, although not as strong as that of some of the stronger English blends. Room note is primarily Latakia - I generally enjoy this out on the patio, as I do with my other Latakia blends, for my first evening bowl. I find it to be a perfect prelude to my later evening bowl of Peterson's Nightcap.

Hearty English
This blend comes at perfect moisture however, does require a couple relights. The ribbons are long and medium sized. Tin note is very Smokey from that rich latakia. Room note is pretty strong and may be to pungent for English sensitive guests. Tasting profile is sweet and spicy. The Virginia provide a nice sweet bread flavor. Latakia is well latakia. The Perique in this mixture has a slight spice but gives off more of its fig / plum quality. The oriental seems to be more in the background adding a bit of flavor on the finish. Smokes cool and slow, would recommend a smaller pack, unless you have time. Overall very good tobacco, may just set aside to dry for about 10-15 minutes to reduce number of relights.
