My favorite
Say what you will, but this one is tried and true. I love the smell of it and so do the people around me. It was also what my grandfather smoked, so there's that old favorite smell factor for me too. I even got my husband switched over to it, which he used to smoke cigars. Old faithful in my opinion.

I smoked for long-time captain black gold (20 years) and but this brand original really is not interesting. Like burning dried leaves of a tree. but I like gold it was wet. I like the gold brand, it was wet . and every time I smoke it I enjoy it. But this original (white) NO...

Smooth & Light
Smooth, nice-tasting tobacco, not that aromatic, still with an aroma. Light enough to inhale it once in a while. I prefer this to Captain Black Dark.

The Best Captain Blend
Not sure why everyone is always busting on The Captain, I find the regular to be my favorite blend of theirs. Never a bite, always mild and smokes down to the end. I always have some on hand and it is in my top five aromatic categories.

Granted I have not used this in some time, but I always recall it was moist and had a definite vanilla /cavendish aroma. This had a weak tobacco aroma and was not pleasant smoking! Next step: approach Customer Service about a possible replacement.
