When Henderson Ventura, the master blender at Tabacalera William Ventura, and Marcel Knobel, a sommelier and coffee producer, came together in 2016 to create ADV & McKay Cigars, it was clear a partnership defined by taste and expertise had arisen.
This has proven to be true with the team’s fresh and innovative approach in their ADVentura brand.
Started in 2016, ADVentura released their first cigar in Europe the following year. The Explorer was a hit and the first release of a dynamic trilogy. With The Navigator between them, The Conqueror was introduced at the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in 2019, corresponding with ADVentura’s big US debut.
With breadth of view, showmanship, and the quality of ingredients and flavor to back it up, this line of cigars will be sure to satisfy any smoker.
These cigars are complemented by a series of fabled adventures written about the eponymous ADVentura and his companion, MacKay. Each cigar corresponds to another chronicle in the adventures of these travelers who set out to “discover the unknown pleasures of the world,” as opposed to treasure or material things of trivial value.

The epic continued with an announcement in 2020 of the Royal Return blends—the storied gifts that the adventurers brought back to the king and queen. These were released side by side: For His Majesty, the taste of “salted chocolate, honey, toast, and cinnamon” pervades in the King’s Gold Toro; and for Her Majesty, “sweet wood, vanilla creme, and hazelnut,” blend perfectly in the Queen’s Pearls Toro.
