A mild English, perfect for your morning cup of tea (or coffee in our case). This G.L. Pease pipe tobacco has a bit of bright citrus and fruit wandering in to most puffs if you take enough time with it. Those who like the flavors of Latakia and Perique, but who aren’t so fond of the one-two-punch-you-in-the-face of some of the stronger G.L. Pease blends will be able to appreciate his genius with this, milder fair.

Standard English blend
Nothing too special in my opinion but still a very good solid English blend. Came ready to smoke out of the tin. Nothing overwhelming in the flavor. Burns well smoke is smooth. Overall a good English blend.

A Mild Mannered Breakfast Toke
Chelsea Morning is a mild-mannered breakfast smoke. For me, it's the 'Miller Lite' version of Quiet Nights. It's almost too gentle and I find myself wanting just a bit more flavor and intensity. Then again, I am prone to big and bold blends. If you want an extremely smooth, mild-tasting English, this is a good choice. I personally prefer Seattle Pipe Club's Plum Pudding for my "Lite English" tobacco, but this isn't far behind.

Great mild English blend
Love this tobacco it's perfect in the morning or anytime. Smokes great straight from the tin. GLP will probably be my go-to brand from now on. Gaslight will be my next one to try.

Not one of my favorites in the series
I have to say there is nothing inherently wrong with this tobacco blend. This one was not as special to me as some of the others in this line like Quiet Nights, Meridian, and Gaslight. These are all English blends, but Chelsea morning is by far the lightest and nuanced in flavor. The others were very forward with their ingredients. While I smoked this it was very mild and one noted. However, I do know some prefer a uniform blend and every palate is different. Also, I don't know what age does to this blend.

Delicious!
For many years I was an exclusive smoker of mild aromatics (many of the non-aromatic, English-type blends were just too strong for me and tasted too much like a campfire), then I discovered the G. L. Pease line. Granted, some of the Peases are still too stout for me, but they ALL taste good. But "Chelsea Morning" is simply DELICIOUS! This blend is reasonably mild and there is no "room note"... there's a symphony! This blend is simply delicious! Greg, you're the man!
